First of all, I trust following anyone who has strong writing tied in with sincerity (followed!). I used to follow this writer who claimed to make bogus amounts of money in every single article she published.

She was writing about money she wasn't actually making and by doing that attracting the clicks of other starving writers which, in turn, possibly earned her 25% of the income she was claiming to have already been making.
