I hate that Medium promotes articles that discuss either Medium or earnings from Medium. It has really stifled my creativity as I went from churning out short stories at my own pace to banging out bullshit pop-culture/self-help content for a quick buck. The beauty of reading and writing has been removed and turned into its own capitalistic venture. My goal is to start writing fiction again, even if it's just for me.
