I have heard such conflicting reports on the 30-day writing challenge with some people saying the work may come out too sloppy which is negative if you are using it as a portfolio for writing gigs whereas others claim it's completely boosted their stats and helped them obtain writing gigs.

But, I am interested in doing it, not for money or stats, but to strenghten my writing skills.
