The attitude of abundance is a really bad one many of us have trouble shaking off. If you can resist playing the field with multiple people and you find someone who can also resist, then I believe dating apps can be harmless. However, I feel it's people under 40 who are becoming much, much more pickier, dating multiples, and letting go of one another for the smallest, silliest reasons.
