Well-written article! I downloaded the chapter 11 PDF to read later and read the link on prostate cancer. I thought it was odd that the researchers found that African-Americans were just as likely to accept the treatment (if offered), but they found it peculiar that it wasn't offered to them at the same rate as whites.

However, I am curious to know, is your theory that staff members in the medical field (doctors/nurses/surgeons/etc.) are racist? Or, the policies put in place?
